“”I’ve just completed testing at Mishfit Mothers after attending all year and am ecstatic about my results. Not only have I enjoyed the varied workouts and supportive atmosphere, but this year I’ve gained good core strength, lost about 3 kgs in weight and a few of those centimetres around the waist (and other areas) I’ve been trying to lose for quite a while. It’s taken me a while to get my head around food and exercise management, but the testing sessions have been really helpful and supportive, with useful suggestions and comments from Mish and the other women in the group. Sometimes I’ve dreaded the thought of attending testing, but have gone along anyway and been pleasantly surprised to see the progress I’ve been making. By writing down my short-term and long-term goals in the testing sessions I’ve been able to pace myself realistically and make small but significant changes to my lifestyle that have helped me reach those goals. It’s spurred me on to keep going and lose a few more centimetres and kilograms, not to mention giving my self-confidence a big boost. My results have earned me a personal training session with Mish, which I’m looking forward to. I’d definitely recommend attending the testing sessions as it’s great to monitor your progress, even if you don’t think you’ve made any. “Michelle and mishfit classes have totally changed my understanding of the post-pregnancy body, and its specific needs. When I first started I knew a tiny bit about diastasis and problems that can arise with your pelvic floor after childbirth. I knew I had a big diastasis gap, and the resulting sore back was only getting worse picking up my 2 year old. I also thought I was doing correct pelvic floor exercises. But with Michelle's help, I was put on to a great physiotherapist who was able to clearly pinpoint my diastasis, and teach me the correct way to build strength in the pelvic floor. She did this by using an ultrasound to see the muscle groups working. With at home exercise alongside going to mishfit classes, I have made tremendous improvements. I have corrected the pelvic floor technique, and have almost brought my stomach muscles completely back together. My back is feeling great, and I have a much better body awareness, and knowledge of how to keep strong through my next pregnancy and beyond. It has been invaluable. Thanks so much Mish!” -- Anita

“Getting fit after children seemed like an uphill battle for me, and I feel so fortunate to have found mishfit. I love the fact that I am not a number; as Mish really takes an interest in getting you to a healthier place with exercises targeting all those necessary 'after bub places' - thighs, stomachs, bottoms, pelvic floor etc. And the workouts are great; I especially love the boxing!
